"My home was never rooted in geography."

This body of work explores identity, belonging, and the experience of living between cultures. Created after moving between India and Australia, the paintings reflect my attempt to reconcile the different parts of myself shaped by both places.

Natural materials such as earth and sand carry memories of home and a connection to my Eastern roots, while structured compositions and bold colour palettes draw from the order and clarity I experienced in Australia. With a background in installation design, my paintings often take on a sculptural quality, where each layer becomes part of an ongoing process of balancing memory, place, and identity.
